Before this, everything was easy

Sidera is Latin for star and that is exactly what this game is, a birght star about to go supernova! Sidera a fast paced, fun to play, mind bending-tap-athon. Played in portrait orientation Sidera includes 80 levels. As star watching goes this is a galaxy of fun!

The object of the game is to remove all the stars and planets from the screen, after which the players supernova explodes, clearing the level. The supernova is a half-inch wide animated particle, colored yellow and orange. There are three other stellar objects of the same size, each with a different animated pattern and a different color. Lastly, are the icons for small planets that look something like a revolving bulls-eye.

Touching one of the stars or planets surrounding the supernova will cause it to explode, forcing the supernova backwards in the opposite direction. However, if the object is not directly in a line, horizontally or vertically, with the supernova, it will not explode. Instead, a white crosshair reticule will appear, briefly indicating those bodies that are in a horizontal or vertical line with the supernova. With the supernovas current position, only those bodies close to these targeting lines can be destroyed.

This is where Sidera becomes obsessively fun. Players must evaluate the screen to determine which bodies can be destroyed and which to destroy first. Successful players will develop strategies for anticipating one or more moves ahead in helping them choose the best planet or star to destroy. This can become quite complex, as at higher levels there may be dozens of planets and stars that must be cleared.

"We developed Sidera to be a beautiful game with many levels to it. Game play evolves from a very simple pace to a very complex one. The more you play the more challenging the game becomes,” commented Juan Pablo Re of Cube Cat Games. “We also managed to put together some great animations. I think players will find Sidera a great game to pick up and play. It’s a great game if you have a few minutes or if you have a few hours. "
